Our Programmes

Whether your child is in our Prep Swim Squad or training with our Senior Squad, we have programmes designed for all levels of swimming.

Learn more about them below and see what best suits their needs.

Our three Learn to Swim levels provide classes for swimmers from seven years of age who are not ready for squad swimming or continuous 25m lap swimming squads. Our classes are 30 minutes in duration and aim to advance swimming skills in all four strokes, so all students develop the readiness and capability to participate competently in squad swimming.

Our programme is designed for advanced learn to swim students who have already learnt freestyle, side-breathing and kicking on their back.

This class is 45 minutes in duration and focus on more advanced skills and drills to refine and develop technique. The goal is for technique to be maintained for longer periods. Learning to swim fast with controlled technique is reinforced.

All four strokes and associated diving and turning skills are also developed at a basic level to ensure an all-round swimmer. Mini Squads will also start learning to use pace clocks, pace times and read pre-written sets.

Bronze Squad is 60 minutes in duration and continues to focus on the teaching of more advanced skills and drills to refine and develop technique even further.

Bronze Squad swimmers are encouraged to swim two to five sessions per week, with an increased focus on developing the basic skills needed for competitive swimming. At this level, endurance, speed and ongoing skill development become important parts of their swimming programme.

Our Silver Squad programme is for talented junior swimmers who aspire to join the ranks of competitive swimming. The Silver Squad programme prepares them for specific competitions with the intention of laying a strong training foundation for future development whilst maximising performance. These sessions are designed to nurture optimal technique, educate them on all aspects of competitive swimming and foster healthy interactions with fellow squad members. Silver squads are encouraged to swim three to five sessions a week.

Fit and Fast is designed with teenagers in mind who have experience in swim squads and enjoy swimming for fitness, the challenge it presents, as well as the opportunity for healthy pursuits. Fit and Fast targets both endurance training and speed training.

Swimmers who train at this level do not need to be competitive swimmers, but appreciate what swimming brings to their daily lives.

This squad is also ideal for those swimmers who require strong swimming skills as a prerequisite for participating in sports such as water polo.

Gold Squad is designed for competitive swimmers who aspire to compete at State and National level. The Gold Squad also caters for ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë's GPS swimming team who maintain consistent year-round training fitness and contributes to the performance environment of the squad. The Gold Squad programme will prepare swimmers for targeted external competitions and encourage swimmers on a pathway towards swimming excellence, whilst learning to set and achieve goals. Swimmers will undertake a dry land programme two to three times per week to improve strength, flexibility and rigidity, and how to maintain their bodies for peak performance.
