About me and my therapy practice
I have worked as a person-centred psychotherapist for 14 years. I work with individuals, couples/pairs, groups and organisations.
I will offer you a space and quality of attention that will help you better understand yourself and your situation (e.g. life, relationships, career). I will help you think about and develop your options, and decide what steps to take next.
Person-centred therapy, the approach I take, is one of three main approaches to therapy in the UK; the other two are psychodynamic and behavioural. My approach includes the core belief that you usually know best where hurts, or what needs/wants attention. To this extent, the approach may be deemed 'gentle'.
Practice description
My PhD on gender and 'race' speaks to some of my speciality. Below are other areas that I commonly work with, such as couples/relationships. This is not an exhaustive list: research shows that the most important factor to 'successful' therapy is the relationship between client(s) and therapist. So, feel free to contact me and discuss if you don't see what you are looking for below. I will say when I don't think I'm the one to help!
I work solely online, usually seeing clients on a weekly basis. Four or six sessions tends to be a popular starting point. From there we review together whether you are getting what you need. Such reviews are ongoing if we continue to work together. As a rule of thumb, long-standing issues take longer to work through.
My first session
I offer a 25 minute telephone consultation free of charge for us to see how we get on and if we might work well together. There are no obligations or conditions around this.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Coach Therapist, Coaching supervision, Cultural issues, Depression, Development coaching, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Life coaching, Loss, Menopause, Personal development, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues

I charge a sliding scale of fees from £65-£85 for individuals and £90-£110 for couples/pairs. I try to reserve the lower end of this spectrum for students or unwaged individuals, but let's discuss if my full fee is unaffordable.

I offer sessions between 9am and 8pm, Mondays to Thursdays.
About me and my therapy practice
I have worked as a supervisor for 10 years. I offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists, and to other helping professionals such as psychologists, coaches, nurses and NHS managers (the latter relating to my PhD). The supervision that I offer addresses the interface of the professional and personal. Conversations may be about confidence; decision-making; leadership; communication; interpersonal difficulties; progression; personal history; and/or discrimination.
I'm interested in developing a collegial relationship with supervisees in which difficulties and triumphs may be freely discussed and learnt from.
